Christine Rother As daughter of an art collector and grandniece of the artist Peter Herkenrath I got in contact with art already in my early years.
Since the opening of my gallery 1994 till now I administrate the relief of Peter Herkenrath (1900- 1992). A lot of collectors and lovers of the art of Peter Herkenrath know that I have access to a big fund of art works out of the abatement, which are shown and sold in my gallery.

The gallery started with four individual and group exhibitions a year, which expanded to six exhibitions over the years. Besides consulting, sale and rent of pictures, sculpture and installations for the configuration of private and business rooms, I also participate at national and international art fairs, to become more famous with my gallery. The debut was 2002 the Art Bodensee in Austria, at which I participated almost every year since then. Followed by the participation at the yearly art fairs like Art Karlsruhe (since 2005), KIAF Seoul (since 2006), TIAF Toronto (since 2007) and the Cologne Fine Art & Antiques (since 2007). Once I participated at the Photo Miami 2008 and the Art Palmbeach3.

Since 1994 I was continuously part of the “ZusammenKunst” of the galleries of Wiesbaden. Additionally I was a co- founder of the “Kurze Nacht der Galerien Wiesbaden” (2000) and participated every year and also arranged a lot according to this event.
The “Wiesbadener Kunstsommer 2008 and 2009” was mainly organized by me, as a president of the “Interessengemeinschaft der Galerien in Wiesbaden”. Since 2004 I am a co- founder and the president of the “Interessengemeinschaft der Galerien in Wiesbaden”.

My ambition of the gallery business and the engagement for contemporary art is it to give the public an understanding of my chosen arts. In the past years it emerged that the color, the deepness, the emanation of art, photography or a sculpture which puts over the contemplator, got very notable for my program. That what I feel by choosing the art and emphasize in my exhibitions, is what I want to pass on to my clients, with the goal, to show art works, which finds enthusiastic costumers. This is even more emphasized by the organization of events and readings during the exhibition period, which support and aggravate the combination and the promotion of art and culture.

Since the existence of 15 years my gallery developed to a irreplaceable institution and a strong position at the art market.
